Hidden Valley Yurts and The Lake House are located at Lower Glyn Farm in Monmouthshire, South Wales, right in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have five traditional Mongolian yurts and a lakeside holiday home on our land which is a total of 80 acres of woodland, farmland and wildflower meadows. There is so much to see you don’t even need to leave the valley if you don’t want to! Walk, cycle, climb, swing, paddle or relax, we’re sure that there is something for everyone. We have farm animals including cows and sheep which you can find out more about here. We are also conscious of the environment in everything we do and are passionate about sustainability and making our site as sustainable as possible. • Inside, you will find everything you expect from a modern house, all located on a single storey. This includes large comfortable Super king and twin beds with luxurious bed linen, modern bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious open-plan living space and dining area.
• Outside, a covered veranda with traditional rustic appeal runs the full length of the building leads onto a huge double deck, which allows for sunbathing, BBQs, garden furniture and stargazing. The views are simply breathtaking, surrounded by our 80 acres of woodland and meadow and that serene lake next to it. In addition, if you are looking for hot tubs then we hire these out on request.

The Lake House is an absolutely stunning lodge that sleeps 4. With a combination of SuperKing double beds or singles, as the beds are zip beds, you can have 2 doubles, 4 singles or 1 double and 2 singles. The Lake House is a single-story building that offers two large bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite), a large open-plan living/dining space, and a modern kitchen.
The full length of the front of the building opens onto the decking overlooking the lake, with double doors to the living area and both bedrooms meaning that you can lie in bed, sit on the sofa or dine at the table and watch the water rippling on the lake and the breeze blowing in the trees.
The Lake House is fully equipped with all modern amenities. In the lounge, there is a log burner, a large sofa bed and other chairs, a flat screen TV and DVD player, and there is WiFi access (not available on the glamping site) as well as a built-in USB charging point. We also provide a wide range of board games and toys. The kitchen has all the modern appliances and utensils you would expect, and there is a dining table and seating.
The master bedroom has an en-suite with shower, and there is a main bathroom with full size bath as well.
Outside, there is a covered veranda and a two-level spacious decking overlooking the lake with outdoor furniture that includes a table, loungers, plenty of seating and a BBQ grill.
No detail has been overlooked in this luxurious holiday home. We have carefully designed this house with you in mind so that your holiday is as relaxing, easy and trouble free as possible.

Check ins are on a Monday or Friday and full week bookings are available. The Lake House is available all year round including Christmas and New Year and is cosy and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. You can see the availability below.
Originally a cricket pavilion, the building had fallen into disrepair and was uninhabitable. We took on the task of restoring it in 2017 and have lovingly and tastefully refurbished it throughout. Where possible we have used locally sourced wood including oak, sweet chestnut and larch, giving The Lake House a rustic charm which complements its natural surroundings. We have paid great attention to detail using high quality materials throughout and finishing to an extremely high standard.
Tucked away in our hidden valley, The Lake House has its own entrance and private land completely separate from the glamping site and the farm. The positioning of the building is such that if you wanted to spend a week holed up on your own, and never see a soul, you could!
Just a short walk from the car park, once at your Lake House holiday home you have the freedom to do as you wish. Stay put, relax, book one of the on site activities, explore our 80 acres of land from one of the many footpaths nearby, or make the most of the beautiful Wye Valley on our doorstep and the many activities and attractions available here.
We provide guests with lots of extra options to make your holiday even more special. You can find a full list on our On Site Activities page of everything which can be organised to be done on site. Don’t fancy cooking? Why not hire a local chef and get them to cook you a delicious meal (and clean up after)? Like a little pampering? You can also have wonderful beauty treatments, massages and Reiki either inside the Lake House or outside on the deck! There’s also bike hire, walking tours, falconry experiences, bushcraft, laser shooting and archery which can all be carried out right here on site.
